SYNOPSIS
“Our T2 Remake” marks a new era in cinema where entire movies can now be generated with the help of machines. The film puts a spin on the beloved classic with commentary and satire about modern-day A.l. technology and its effect on humanity. This film was inspired by “Our Robocop Remake” and dedicated to the Al community and celebrates this innovative space. “Our T2 Remake” re-envisions a classic narrative often cited negatively in A.I. discourse, challenging the ‘Doomsday’ perspective. We aim to shift the focus, illustrating A.l.’s positive contributions and showcase how this technology can empower filmmakers all over the world to tell stories on an epic scale. “Our T2 Remake” started production during the writers strike, and was led by Nem Perez (a film director in Los Angeles) and Sway Molina (an actor in Miami), who assembled a team of 50 artists from around the world. The film’s innovative structure divides it into 50 segments, each reimagined by a different artist using various Al tools and styles. Organized entirely through Discord & Zoom by a global group of artists, this collaborative project enabled everyone to offer feedback and contribute ideas, resulting in a unique mixed-media experience. Every 2-3 minutes, the film transitions to a new interpretation, maintaining a cohesive storyline. Artists utilized tools like Midjourney, Runway, Pika Labs, Kaiber, and Adobe, while ensuring all content was original, without using any footage, dialogue, or music from the original film. The T-800 dialogue was recorded by Richard Zuniga, an Arnold impersonator with a large following on Instagram. The overall budget for the film was $0. We are committed to empowering artists and redefining filmmaking norms. “Our T2 Remake” is a testament to our dedication, showcasing the pinnacle of our artistic capabilities. This film, a brainchild of the Al community, demonstrates the use of artificial intelligence as a transformative tool, a creative medium, and a means of artistic expression.
